Stairs with a natural touch!

Futuristic sustainable stairs: EeStairs’ fabrication team has exceptional craft-skills. And this is particularly obvious when they prepare wood or bamboo for steps, risers, or balustrades. The controlled moisture content of the wood ensures that it remains stable, and the immaculately crafted finishes bring out the true character.

EeStairs + Paul de Ruiter Architects — Krinkels, Breda [NL]

The wood on the floor and the stair-steps was laid to create the effect of growth-rings in a tree. The steel stair structures, with super-smooth EeSoffits, were delivered in two segments, and installed and spray-painted on site by EeStairs.

Greenpower Fontwell — West Sussex [GB]

These visually striking Mindstep stairs were made using laminated bamboo, a highly sustainable wood species. The skill of EeStairs craftsmen is shown in the accuracy of the wave-like geometry and the precisely vertical pin-links between the handrail and the balustrade posts.

EeStairs + Concrete + Stephen B. Jacobs Group — CitizenM Bowery, New York [US]

These helical stairs are the focal-point of the reception area at the trendy CitizenM hotel in the Bowery, New York. EeStairs matched the wood veneers very carefully, painted the steel balustrades black, and ensured that the very tight radius of the inner balustrade was geometrically and structurally accurate.

EeStairs + Brandes Maselli Architects — Residence, New Jersey [US]

The owners of this home in New Jersey in the US are enjoying an external staircase, made by EeStairs, that matches the cladding of the house. The architect, Brandes Maselli, designed the stairs using the same naturally rusted COR-TEN steel cladding that’s on the building.

EeLab

The EeStairs Lab specialises in radical design innovations. In this case, they imagined a futuristic tubular staircase connecting two levels in a belvedere with views of landscape and a town.
